Congrats to @beckybidlen , our nurse of the week!
“I wanted to be a nurse because nurses have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on patient lives every day. I wanted to care for patients in a meaningful way that address physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Patients are often at their most vulnerable point when I encounter them and their families before surgery.
Becky graduated in 2017 with her BSN and immediately started in the operating room. She learned to scrub and circulate and immediately loved the OR.

“The OR is incredibly team-oriented and each person knows their role well. When something isn’t going well, everyone snaps into action and anticipates what’s next. I love how orderly the work flow is and the immediate results I see for my patients during surgery.”
Becky worked in the main OR and learned all the specialties but especially loves scrubbing orthopedics. After 3 years, she left to start travel nursing.
“I’m halfway through my first travel assignment, living in a van, and I’m so excited to grow through this experience.”
Congratulations Becky and thanks for all you do!
